this fryer is amazing!....
after struggling with my old fryer i was amazed after receiving this little gem which produced a big basket of beautiful chips in under 10 minutes (my old one took 30)
takes only a couple of minutes to heat up & i have not used the top temperature as it is too hot (maybe for frozen food)
buy one..you wont regret it!!

Within 10 minutes of it being opened, we had it heated, ready to go and a pile of freshly cut potatoes sitting besides it ready to be cooked.
The chips took just over 5 minutes to go golden brown and crispy, and were simply delicious.
To those of you who claim to not be able to cook decent chips in this, then your not using it right. Don't follow the instruction manuals times and just go with your eye (and nose).
A great buy for all chip fans.

I have had my fryer for a couple of years now, it cooks chips to perfection, if you set it on 170 deg C, and cook for 10 - 12 mins, shaking after the first 5 mins. To get the lid open easily press from the bottom lip upwards and it opens without a hitch. I have found the Moulinex fryers to be great. Don't be put off by other reviews they just haven't used it properly - some people just can't cook!!

very good product, capacity excellent considering size of fryer, easy to store away not at all heavy to lift.
Further more not complicated or computerised as many items of this genre are today.Finally cooks excellent chips at 150 degrees.

Fryer ok for the price but has it's faults. You can't raise the food out of the oil without removing it completely cos the basket sits at an angle so some of the food carries on cooking. Also cooks way above temperature and not easy to clean as you can't take apart.
