F18304 De Longhi Fat Fryer review November 27, 2009 DaveB1089 (Gatwick UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the third one of these we have had over the years (different models), but they just get better and better. The frying time as listed is accurate and by using a decent fat, the food (usually chips) comes out crisp and dry, to coin a phrase!!! There is a nice big window to view the food, but it does condensate and the viewing becomes difficult. There really should be a slider to clear the window. De Longhi please note if you read this. This should not put anyone off though, it is a good unit and worth the money in my opinion.

Recipe for excellant chips ,De'Longhi deep fat fryer,2 litres rapeseed oil,bag of King Edward pots.Cook for 8mins 170 degrees, raise basket for 3mins ,raise temp to max, lower basket two mins ,hey presto, yummy crunchy chips.Love it!
Benny August 19, 2010 Benny (Manchester, UK) This fryer is excellent. It does make great chips, which is what I bought it for. I part cook them and then let the oil heat up again and finish them off (see Belgian chips on the internet for recipes). Cleaning up is easy and the supplied equipment make this the easiest fryer I have had for filtering the oil and refilling the pan. I have no criticism of this product apart from possibly a stronger heating element to speed the cooking up, but sometimes good things take time and fluffy crispy chips are worth it.
De'Longhi F18304 Roto Freyer December 15, 2009 J A Sutton 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Compared with other simular products this fryer is good value for money, chips do actually taste better and it is quite simple to use, however, the sight glass does steam up and cooking contents cannot be seen, another area of improvement would be a timer to alert when the cooking is complete.

Roto Fryer July 26, 2010 Trish Brilliant fryer, had this before, only bad thing is the lid which has the tendency to fling open very quickly if you are not prepared for it.
