I bought this item and absolutely love it. It copes well with portions large enough for two, and everything I've fried in it, breaded fish, chips, fritters and spring rolls have all come out perfectly. It's also easy to clean. Far prefer this to my last large Deep Fat Fryer.

We own a small deep fat fryer that is at least 25 years old. It makes excellent chips but is beginning to look rather bedraggled. So I decided to purchase this fryer. I followed the directions to the letter but the chips came out very soggy, sort of steamed, and did not taste good. I have returned this item to ebay. It does not even merit one star in my opinion. I shall carry on with my old machine.
