Customer Reviews: Brilliant little fryer August 22, 2009 B. A. Green (KENT) 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
The last fryer I had was the type where you cooked with the lid off, and there was always a mess where the oil had splashed onto the worktop. After a few months I binned it. Then I saw this one advertised on Amazon and for the price I thought I give it a try. When it arrived and seeing how small it was I thought it was some sort of joke. But how wrong I was. As I live on my own the basket is just the right size to cook a portion of chips. Also, has it only holds a litre of oil it doesn't take long to heat up. Anyone like me who just wants to cook food for one person, then you can't go wrong buying this one.
I would like to add that the handle on the basket could be a bit tricky as you've got to remove it each time to close the lid. As I have arthritis in my fingers I found it difficult, so I now use a pair of long nose pliers to remove the basket.
Just the ticket August 20, 2010 D. L. George (Cirencester, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A surprisingly tiny fryer but it will fry a large portion of chips that could be served as two portions for more modest appetites. It is well designed and simple to use. Although I found the times and heating levels printed on the side a bit too high. Requiring only one litre of oil is should be economical in use and looks very easy to clean.
good chips! September 4, 2010 difah (lancashire) bought this for my mum who lives alone, great size does not need much oil, she loves it!
