Good fryer. Makes good chips. Do remember to shake them part way through though or the ones at the bottom will brown due to being closer to the element. Like the temperature gauge - very easy to operate, as is the whole fryer. I use it in the garage, so the fact the lid has to stay off while cooking is not a problem. I find whether the lid is on or not, the house smells of chips - hence I use the garage! Very easy to clean too (not the garage) the fryer!

Bought this and used it once. Second time , it would not heat up . Tried the emergency reset button at the back but this had no effect . In the end I had to toss it in the bin , bought it at Sainsburys and they wouldnt take it back cos I had thrown the receipt away . Lesson : dont throw the receipt away . They asked me " did you keep the packaging?" hey I didnt expect to be returning it so soon . NO I DIDNT KEEP THE RECEIPT . Although it worked first timne round it must have fried itself !
