This is a very good product,easy to use and very easy cleaning. Stays looking good after each use.Makes great chips just like a normal chip pan, you need a large area in your cupboard to store it as the handle on the wire basket doesn't fold down, for me that is the only draw back.
The Breville DF30 is the best chip fryer I have ever had.An Excellent product.

We were looking for a basic fryer which held at least 3 litres of oil to cook a good quantity of chips at one go. We are well pleased with the results from the DF30.
As we use it in a pantry beside our kitchen we were not bothered by the fact that it does not have a filter (we just leave the outside door open to let the steam out!)It is actually 2.25kw and I like the "Cool zone technology" which means that crumbs that fall through the basket drop down below the element and don't burn on the bottom of the pan. You may be interested to know that the lid must be removed during cooking and is only used as a dust cover when not in use.
A very good fryer if you have the space!

Chips using sunflower oil is all we've used this for, and once you've experimented once or twice, it does a good job. Takes up a fair bit of room, and not the most beautiful looking item ever invented, but it is a deep fat fryer after all. Bought this one for the large oil and basket capacity, so it does a good quantity.
