2 out of 5 stars OUCH!!!!!   December 21, 2009

It is fine for cooking quantity for two. But here's the thing, look at the picture and you will notice the handle for opening is on top of the lid, now just imagine for a second the contents inside are steaming hot and you need to open the machine to check on progress or open to remove the basket, well you probably guessed the hot steam inside rises and burns your hand as you open the lid, its fair to say it makes your eyes water a little. Quite a low quality product too although that is insignificant by comparison to the shocking design. Buy a machine that does not leave you needing sympathy from the wife! Unimpressed.

1 out of 5 stars rubbish   October 7, 2004

A rubbish fryer! Try and cook the recommended weight (200gms)of frozen chips and watch foaming oil flow all over the worktop despite a statement that you can increase beyond the recommended weight without problem. There is no warning in the handbook about foaming and the manufacturer said "you must defrost and dry the chips before cooking and we expect customers to use their common sense regarding our products"!
